Advisory Committee for Roof Safety

Established in 1998, The Advisory Committee for Roofsafety (previously known as the Advisory Committee for Roofwork) is a body dedicated to making roof work safer. It was established from a working group originally set up by invitation of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) in 1999 to look at the issue of fragility of Roofing Assemblies. Meeting quarterly, the commitee is made up of nominees from Trade Associations and Organisations involved in Roofwork. Their many years of experience in roof work contribute to the advice given in the Committees Guidance Documents. The BSIF-HSG nominee currently chairs the committee.
